General Performance

The N4910U-R same as the N4910UPRO-R is made by Thecus. A lesser known manufacturer that Synology or QNAP, there always other brands out there like Thecus which are often innovative if less user-friendly to those without experience of a NAS device. You might not get the same user experience comparing with other better known brands. But sometimes you might not need it. This model comes with new DDR4 technology random access memorty (RAM). DDR3 used to work at 800 MT/s (or Millions of Transfers per second) and some went as high as 2133. DDR4, starts at 2133 MHz. The increased speed means an overall increase in bandwidth. Unlike the N4910UPRO-R this box has the Intel® Skylake Core-i3 6100 3.7GHz Dual Core processor. Another key difference between the N4910UPRO-R is RAM. N4910U-R arrives with 4GB RAM.
